The Fear of Change Often Takes More From Us Than Change Itself
Many people spend years living in a condition
they no longer enjoy.
But at the same time,
they are afraid to change anything.
And the most interesting part is this:
fear itself often drains more energy
than the actual changes ever would.
Do Not Break Yourself. Keep Moving In The Right Direction
Before,
the word “discipline” felt strict to me.
You have to force yourself.
You have to push harder.
You have to endure.
But now I am starting to see discipline differently.
It can be much calmer.
It is not about breaking yourself.
It is about remembering why you started
and coming back to what matters.
As children,
dreaming felt normal.
We were read fairy tales,
given books,
shown stories about brave people
and told to look at the world more widely.
Then a person grows up
and starts hearing different words:
“Do not make things up”,
“Be realistic”
and “Do not want too much”.
If You Want Something Tomorrow, You Need To Do Something Today
I often repeat one simple thought to myself:
if you want something tomorrow,
you need to do something today.
Not wait for the perfect moment.
Not postpone everything until Monday.
Just make at least one small step now.
With the years,
I think more often about the fact
that school taught us more than subjects.
It gave us people around us,
books,
responsibility,
respect
and the first understanding
that grades are not the only important thing in life.
It Is Scary To Start Something New. But It Is Even Scarier To Change Nothing
Starting something new is almost always scary.
Because you do not know
what will happen next.
You do not know
if it will work.
You do not know
how other people will react.
But if you change nothing,
everything will stay exactly as it is now.
When You Realize Adult Life Has No Ready-Made Answers
As a child,
you often think adults know everything.
How to live.
How to earn money.
How to raise children.
How to make decisions.
Then you become an adult yourself
and realize
that there are almost no ready-made answers.
Many things have to be understood
while you are already on the way.
