We have lived in Norway for more than two and a half years, and I have noticed one simple thing: I think "it was different in Ukraine" much less often now. Not because I have got used to absolutely everything or decided that one country is better than the other. I have simply become used to many everyday things and stopped comparing them with Ukraine every time.

We moved from Ukraine to Norway in November 2023. A lot has become familiar since then, but some things still make me rethink habits I had for decades. People here treat weather, Sundays, personal space, appearance and even health differently. What surprised me most is how much prevention happens not in a doctor's office, but in ordinary daily life.
When you live in another country, it is very easy to compare everything with the way things worked back home. I do that less now. Not because everything in Norway is better. I have simply learned that many things have their own logic, and it makes more sense to understand that logic first.
