Why I Don’t Want to Push What Interests Me Onto Other People
When you find something useful for yourself, it feels natural to share it. But over time, I understood: there is a big difference between telling someone and putting pressure on them.
Why I Don’t Want to Push What Interests Me Onto Other People
I am interested in health, growth, FitLine, new opportunities and business. But I do not want to talk about these things in a way that makes someone feel like they are being pulled somewhere.
I want to talk about health, FitLine, business and new opportunities in a normal way. Without pressure, strange openings or the feeling that someone is trying to drag a person into something.
Honestly, I do not like it when someone pushes something on me. Especially when the person has not even asked whether I am interested. I think many people have received a message at least once from someone they had not spoken to for years. First comes “Hi, how are you?”, and then it turns out it was not really about how you are doing at all.
I do not want to be that person with the strange message
In situations like that, you feel it very quickly. Someone seems to write in a friendly way, but inside you already think: here we go.
Then come words about an opportunity, a presentation, a short video, an interesting topic or something that “you really need to see”.
Maybe the idea itself is actually fine. Maybe the product is good. Maybe the business really suits someone.
But the way it is done ruins everything. Because the person does not feel real interest. They feel a script.
I do not want my message to create that same feeling for someone. I do not want a person to see my name and immediately think: “That’s it, now he is going to lead me somewhere”.
What I definitely do not want to do
- Send people template messages
- Start a conversation dishonestly
- Put pressure on someone
- Keep persuading after a no
- Promise easy results
- Damage relationships because of rushing
- Think everyone should be interested in the same thing
What interests me does not have to be useful for everyone
It is a simple thought, but I did not learn to accept it calmly right away.
When I like something, I want to talk about it. A good book. An interesting film. A beautiful country. A new habit. A product that became part of our life. An idea that opened something new.
That is normal. We share the things that matter to us.
But not every person is in a place where they need it right now. Someone has their own things going on. Someone has other thoughts. Someone simply does not want to change anything. And that is normal too.
After moving, I felt this even more
When we moved to Norway, many things were new to me. A different rhythm. A different attitude toward time. A different everyday life. A different school system. Small details I had not even noticed before.
I wanted to talk about it. To share observations. To tell what surprised me, what I liked and what was not easy.
And I quickly saw: some people were really interested. Others were not.
And it was not about Norway. Every person simply lives their own life. Someone is thinking about moving. Someone is focused on work. Someone has children. Someone is thinking about health. Someone is in a period where they have no energy to listen to anything new.
This taught me something simple: not everything that matters to me has to matter to another person right now.

You can honestly say that something interests you. Without games, without strange openings and without scripts.
Listen
If a person is not interested, that is not a problem. It is simply their answer at this moment.
Do not pressure
A normal conversation should not break just because someone said “no”.
People feel the difference very quickly
You can say all the right words. You can smile. You can start from far away. But if inside you have one goal, to make the person agree, it is still felt.
And the opposite is true too. When you simply share your experience, people feel that as well.
There is no need to play a role. No need to pretend that you just randomly remembered the topic. No need to hide business behind a “how are you” conversation.
I prefer it simpler: if a person is interested, they will ask. If not, we can still talk normally.
This also applies to FitLine and business
I can say that we use FitLine. I can explain why it is interesting to us. I can share how it became part of our life.
But I do not want to pretend that one product is needed by everyone. I do not want to convince a person if they do not want to listen. I do not want to turn a normal conversation into an attempt to sell something.
It is the same with business. I am interested in PM International. I like the format where you can grow online, work with a product, build a team and still not become a person who offers something to everyone around.
But that is my interest. And I want to talk about it in a way that leaves a normal feeling after the conversation.
This is exactly why I like the website format
A website does not burst into someone’s messages. It does not force anyone to reply right away. It does not put a person in an awkward position.
A person can come in, read, think, return later or simply close the page. And that is fine.
Here I can calmly talk about our journey. About life in Norway. About health. About FitLine. About growth. About business without spam.
Without rushing. Without needing a quick answer. Without the feeling that every person has to decide something immediately.
Not everyone has to become a customer or partner
This is also important to accept. Not every person we talk to has to buy something. Not every person has to join. Not every conversation has to end with a result.
And that is normal.
You can simply talk. You can share a thought. You can leave information. You can continue communicating, even if the person is not interested right now.
I think normal relationships matter more than a quick “yes”.
I do not want to push people
There is an approach where you constantly need to lead a person: explain one more time, remind one more time, show one more time, answer doubts one more time.
Maybe that suits someone. But I do not want to build my path this way.
I do not want a person, after talking to me, to think about how to say no politely. I do not want them to get tired of my interest.
I prefer when a conversation leaves calm behind. Even if the person bought nothing, did not agree and did not say “yes”.
I do not need everyone, I need the right people
As I get older, I feel calmer about the fact that not everyone will be interested in what interests me.
And that is actually good. Because you do not need to convince everyone. You do not need everyone to like you. You do not need to explain the same thing to people who do not want to hear it.
It is enough when the right people find you. The ones who feel close to a normal approach. Without pressure. Without games. Without strange messages. Without rushing.
People you can speak honestly with. People who ask questions themselves when they are interested. People who do not need anything pushed on them.
Maybe this is a slower path
Maybe this approach does not bring quick results. Maybe it does not look as active as writing to everyone and constantly inviting people.
But I feel calmer with it.
Because I do not want to look at people like a contact list. I do not want to count every conversation as a possible result. I do not want to lose normal communication because I am trying to build something faster.
If you want to build something for the long run, I think there is no point without trust.
I do not want to convince everyone
It is enough for me to speak honestly about the things that truly interest me: health, FitLine, growth, life in Norway and business without spam.
If it feels close to someone, they will stay, read, ask or return later. And if it does not feel close, they have every right to simply pass by.
