In my service business, customers often did not know exactly what they needed. They only knew that a printer had stopped working, the office needed equipment or there was a problem that had to be fixed. When you live in another country, it is very easy to compare everything with the way things worked back home. I do that less now. Not because everything in Norway is better. I have simply learned that many things have their own logic, and it makes more sense to understand that logic first.
I have spent more than 15 years working with websites, SEO and online promotion. Yet I kept putting off a proper website of my own because Facebook, Instagram and YouTube seemed sufficient. SHCHOKIN.PRO appeared when I realised I wanted more than another place to post content: I wanted one site where everything was organised properly and where I was responsible for every word.
Turning 40 did not suddenly make me wiser. I simply started looking at some things differently: time with my family, my health, the people around me and the habit of postponing important things. Moving to another country in my forties made that even more noticeable.
